Counselor's Corner

Hi parents,

We are officially in the month of September, and that means whole group counseling lessons begin next week! This month, we’ll be exploring the topics of Emotions and Goal Setting—important skills that help students grow both socially and academically.
If your child feels a bit overwhelmed after a long school day (or even during a busy day at home), try out a few simple mindfulness practices together:
Mindfulness in 2 Minutes: A Daily Practice for Students
Sometimes, just a couple of quiet minutes can make a big difference in a child’s day. You can introduce simple mindfulness moments—like deep breathing, gentle stretching, or listening to calming sounds—to help your child feel more centered, calm, and ready to learn. These small pauses help little hearts and minds feel safe, supported, and connected.

Take care,
Mrs. Irvin
