From the Principal's Desk

Welcome to this week's edition of the Comfort Elementary School Newsletter!

As we enter the Christmas season, we’re filled with joy and excitement for all the memories we’ll create together. Our 12 Days of Holiday Cheer are a special time for students and staff to celebrate, connect, and enjoy the spirit of the season as a school community. We encourage everyone to come to school regularly so they don’t miss out on the fun, laughter, and togetherness planned each day.

Let’s make this holiday season bright by showing up, sharing in the festivities, and celebrating one another.

Arts in the Park

Join us for a special community evening on December 4th at 6:00 p.m. at Comfort Park!
There will be art displays from the middle school and high school, music performances by the elementary students and the middle school band, and delicious treats prepared by the high school Culinary Arts program and FCCLA.

The Comfort Band Boosters will also be selling tamale dinner plates.

Don’t forget to bring your lawn chairs and enjoy a wonderful night celebrating our students and their talents!

Academic Corner:

Common Assessment #2 preparation will begin soon. Look for more information for 3rd, 4th and 5th grade students.

This is a friendly reminder that instruction begins promptly at 7:45 a.m.

If your child arrives after 7:45 a.m., please walk them into the building and sign them in at the front office. Arriving late means they miss valuable instructional time and the opportunity to connect with their classmates at the start of the day.

Thank you for helping us ensure every student begins the day ready to learn!

Counselor's Corner
As we get ready for Thanksgiving, this season invites us to pause and hold close the things that make our hearts feel warm. It can range from simple things like a friendly smile, laughter or a quiet moment at home to truly appreciating your family and friends. Encourage your child to notice these little pieces of joy - they remind us that we’re surrounded by kindness and goodness every day. I hope you and your family have a wonderful Thanksgiving filled with rest, togetherness, and peace.

Take care,
Mrs. Irvin
