Welcome to this week's edition of the Comfort Elementary School Newsletter!

Welcome back to school! We hope everyone had a restful and enjoyable winter break and is ready for a great start to the new semester.

As we return, we want to share a few important happenings on our campus. The Kendall County Stock Show is taking place, and many of our students are proudly participating. We wish them the best of luck and appreciate the community support for our students involved in this event.

Additionally, middle-of-the-year testing will begin the first week of January and continue through the second week of January. Please be sure students are present and well-rested during this important time.

We encourage families to stay connected by regularly checking our school postings and communications so you don’t miss any upcoming events or important updates. Thank you for your continued support, and we look forward to a successful start to the new year!

Academic Corner:

Middle of the year testing will begin next week. Please make sure your student attends school each day.

This is a friendly reminder that instruction begins promptly at 7:45 a.m.

If your child arrives after 7:45 a.m., please walk them into the building and sign them in at the front office. Arriving late means they miss valuable instructional time and the opportunity to connect with their classmates at the start of the day.

Thank you for helping us ensure every student begins the day ready to learn!

Growth vs. Fixed Mindset

Counselor's Corner

Counselor's Corner
A good friend is someone who cheers for you when things go well and stands by you when things are tough. All last month, we encouraged students to notice the friends who make them feel happy, safe, and supported, and to remember it is also important to practice being that kind of friend for others. When we show kindness and lift each other up, friendships grow stronger.

This month we will learn about a growth mindset and why it's important as well as setting goals for ourselves.

Take care,
Mrs. Irvin
