Academic Corner:

Middle of the year testing his complete. Thank you for your help. 3-5 Benchmark Testing will be in February.
Benchmarks:
  • Feb 24 4th-5th Math
  • Feb 25 3rd Math

This is a friendly reminder that instruction begins promptly at 7:45 a.m.

If your child arrives after 7:45 a.m., please walk them into the building and sign them in at the front office. Arriving late means they miss valuable instructional time and the opportunity to connect with their classmates at the start of the day.

Thank you for helping us ensure every student begins the day ready to learn!

Be Kind to Yourself

Counselor's Corner

Kindness to Yourself:
Being kind to ourselves is just as important as being kind to others. Children may feel frustrated when things don’t go as planned or when they make mistakes. Teaching positive self-talk helps children build confidence and resilience. Also, parents, be mindful of how you talk to yourself, because our kids are always listening. Remind your child that learning takes time and that everyone makes mistakes.

Try This at Home:
Practice positive self-talk together by turning “I can’t do this” into “I’m still learning” or “I can try again.” Once your child sees you practice positive self-talk, they are much more likely to be kinder to themselves as well.

Take care,
Mrs. Irvin
