Welcome to this week's edition of the Comfort Elementary School Newsletter!

DID YOU KNOW?

Read Across America Week is celebrated from March 2 to 6 — it begins on the birthday of the beloved author, Dr. Seuss.

The entire month of March, in fact, is dedicated to reading. The National Education Association (N.E.A.) aims to encourage reading and educate people about its benefits, especially among children and young adults.

Events are organized across the nation by schools and organizations to promote the same.

Academic Corner:

Bencharmark testing his complete. Thank you for your help.

Spring Parent/Teacher window is open. Please look for communication from your child's teacher.

This is a friendly reminder that instruction begins promptly at 7:45 a.m.

If your child arrives after 7:45 a.m., please walk them into the building and sign them in at the front office. Arriving late means they miss valuable instructional time and the opportunity to connect with their classmates at the start of the day.

Thank you for helping us ensure every student begins the day ready to learn!

Kindness in Our Community

Kindness does begin in the home; however, kindness can reach beyond our homes and classrooms and into our community. Helping children see how their actions affect others builds a sense of responsibility and compassion. Community kindness helps children understand that they can make a difference at any age.

Try This at Home:

As a family, choose one simple way to show kindness in your community—write a thank-you note to a community helper, help a neighbor, or donate gently used items.
  • "The smallest act of kindness is worth more than the greatest intention." - Kahlil Gibran

Take care,
Mrs. Irvin
