How to support your child the night before a standardized test.

The night before a standardized test can be stressful for kids and parents. While you cannot take the test for your child, you can take steps to create a supportive environment to reduce anxiety and promote a positive mindset. Below, we offer strategies to help you empower your child and set the stage for a positive testing experience.

Hello Parents,

Lessons over perseverance will continue through this month. Perseverance is an important skill for all ages. Younger students will learn how to handle mistakes and keep going, while the older students (3rd-5th) are applying these skills in taking their time and working through tough questions in class as well as on the STAAR.

Focus on the effort your child puts into the work rather than the outcome. No matter the age of your child, hearing "I'm proud of you how hard you tried" goes a long way and helps build confidence.
