Looking Back on Our Growth
As we enter the final stretch of the school year, May is a wonderful time to sit and reflect. Our students have grown in so many ways - academically, socially, and emotionally. Take some time to recognize this growth because it can help children build confidence and develop a sense of pride in their work.
A great question to ask your child is:
- What was something that felt hard at first but became easier?
- Reflection helps children see that progress comes from persistence and perseverance, the topic students learned about last month.
Parent Tips:
- Ask open-ended questions like, “What is something new you learned this year?”
- Celebrate effort, not just achievements.
- Look through old schoolwork together to notice improvement.
Take care,
Mrs. Irvin
